I can smell the snow!!!

October 29, 2008

I can smell the snow!

Some people claim to have a 6th sense. My 6th sense is that I can smell snow. I woke up, unprompted, this morning around 4 am, as I do before every snowfall, and went outside. There wasn’t snow on the ground or in the air, but it was undeniably prime temperature for snow – not too warm, not too cold. After a few minutes I started to see some flakes, nothing that would accumulate, but snowflakes none the less. The tops of the area mountains received accumulated snow, so it is most certainly on its way!

For guests coming in the next couple weeks and months, pack accordingly. Don’t forget your jackets, hats, close-toed shoes, and sweaters/sweatshirts. But come a little chilled, so you can enjoy our inviting fireplace located in our library, or our outdoor mountainside firepit. The perfect combination for a cold-night in lovely New Hampshire. Also, we have some new packages available that are sure to get just about everyone in the mood for the up and coming Winter Season! Lisa, Front Desk Agent.
