Snow-making at Loon Mountain

November 19, 2008

It is that time of year again where we see Ski resorts beginning to make snow. Yesterday was the day for Loon. From the resort you can see the flurries. Check out the following from Watch the video of white gold being sprayed along the trails at Loon. November 22nd is the scheduled opening, just in time for a Thanksgiving on the trails or a quiet December weekend here in the town of Lincoln in the Loon Valley.

New Trails in Progress

September 25, 2008

Loon Mountain is busy cutting new trails on South Mountain.  By December, we will have four trails in this new expansion area.  Check out our pictures here of the sun rising this morning over South Mountain and the newest trail almost finished.  Be sure to get your season pass lift tickets from Loon while the price is low, or use your InnSeason Club Playtime points for a pass.  See you soon at South Mountain.

Welcome South Mountain Resort to the Blogosphere!

September 24, 2008

South Mountain Resort is located in Lincoln NH. Best known for being the home of Loon Mountain Ski Area and the center of the White Mountains, Lincoln is a quaint New England Small town. Franconia Notch State Park and Cannon Mountain Ski Area are just 15 miles away.

South Mountain Resort is a great resort located in the center of town that includes everything from hotel rooms to luxurious 2 bedroom condominiums. The resort amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, a small fitness center, game room, outdoor fire pit and meeting rooms. Also within the resort complex are the Village Shops.

The Village Shops include a mountain style furniture store, a jewelry shop, a gift shop, ski clothing shop plus the Lincoln Woodstock Chamber of Commerce. There are also two restaurants in the Shops; Fratello’s Ristorante and Texas Toast. Both restaurants serve great food. Fratello’s specializes in hearty italian fare while the Texas Toast has fabulous breakfasts and delicious mouth watering sourthern BBQ meats.

The Papermill Theatre is located right in the middle of the complex and offeres Mainstage Professional Musicals and a touring Children’s Theatre in the Summer months. Check out what is happening there this coming season.
